Privacy Policy

We take your privacy seriously. This page explains exactly what data we collect, why we need it, and how you can control it.

1. Overview

Kiko & Manyi ("we", "us", "our") operates the Kiko & Manyi website and print-on-demand service ("Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you visit our website or place an order. By using our Service you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

Account registration (name, email address, password hash). Shipping and billing information (full name, address, city, postal code, country). Payment details — processed securely by our payment provider; we never store full card numbers. Artwork files you upload or generate. Communications you send to our support team.

Information collected automatically

Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referral URL, timestamps). Cookies and similar tracking technologies for session management and analytics. Device information (operating system, screen resolution) for responsive-design optimisation.

Children's data

Our Service is directed at parents and guardians, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Process and fulfill your orders, including production and shipping.
  • Send order confirmations, shipping updates, and transactional emails.
  • Operate and improve our AI design tools and recommendation engine.
  • Respond to customer service inquiries.
  • Send promotional communications — only with your explicit consent.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or security incidents.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Print and fulfilment partners who manufacture and ship your orders.
  • Payment processors (e.g. Stripe) for secure transaction handling.
  • Cloud hosting providers (e.g. Vercel, AWS) that store our application data.
  • Analytics providers (e.g. Google Analytics) — anonymised where possible.
  • Law enforcement or government authorities when required by law.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies (required for the Service to function), preference cookies (remember your language and region), and analytics cookies (understand site usage). You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may impair functionality.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and order data for 7 years to meet tax and accounting obligations. Uploaded artwork files are retained for 2 years after your last order, after which they are permanently deleted unless you request earlier deletion. You may request deletion of your account at any time; we will delete your personal data within 30 days except where retention is required by law.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Restriction — request we limit processing while a dispute is resolved.
  • Opt-out — unsubscribe from marketing at any time via the link in any email.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, access controls limited to authorised personnel, and regular security audits. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Transfers

Your data may be transferred to, and processed in, countries outside your own. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission to safeguard transfers to countries that do not have an adequacy decision.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or a prominent notice on the website at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
